SUPPORT THE DAILY AT UW

The Daily photographers ask for your support in doing their work. Every day they create a visual catalog of Husky life. They bring back photos from the center of the action, up close and personal, on the field and on the quad. They capture moments of unfolding news, athletic highs and lows, all variety of campus happenings—from football season-kickoff games and coloring autumn leaves to blooming cherry blossoms and joyous graduation celebrations. Buy a print, hang it on your wall, and support our student journalist media makers. Thank you.

STUDENTS SAY THANK YOU

Piper Davidson, Editor in Chief:
The photo desk does such essential work to bolster The Daily’s reporting and storytelling in this highly visual digital era. Doing it right takes time, talent, and resources. It's inspiring the way the team is working together to help raise money for the outlet and raise the bar for all of us.

Evan Morud, photo editor, on the great benefit of being there:
Traveling to cover UW sports takes money but it has provided me with invaluable experience. I've had to push myself to make the most of our away-games coverage, partly by reporting what's happening beyond the action on the field. The new Big Ten crowds are enormous and loud. Donations to the Daily will allow Daily photojournalists to experience these epic environments, just like I have, and to build skill-sets in the process that will allow them to serve our communities for decades to come. We appreciate your support!

Anna Hull, news and culture reporter, on winning bang for your buck:
The Daily delivers so much. It has completely changed my trajectory at UW. Daily students are so committed, so involved, and so passionate about informing the campus community and raising student voices. The Daily covers student concerns; it taps students as the main sources for its stories; it also encourages the contributors to share their own voices with readers — and I think The Daily students are some of the most committed and informed students on campus.

Sophia Sostrin, news reporter, on The Daily as transformative experience:
My two quarters at The Daily have been the most transformative of my time at UW. I've built a strong portfolio and a recognizable name for myself while forming meaningful friendships with coworkers. I appreciate the self-directed nature of the organization, which allows me to take initiative and determine the level of work I want to invest.
